CanPro’s digital intervention programme offers training, equipment, workplace support and access to a cloud-based application called WorkPro.
CANPRO’S 4-DAY FROM LEARNING-TO-EARNING PROGRAMME DEVELOPS UNEMPLOYED YOUTH AS DIGITAL ENTERPRISES BY:
- Supporting them to obtain and submit required documentation as suppliers e.g. tax numbers, BBBEE declarations, email addresses and proof of residence; bank accounts
- Training them in digital, business and life skills;
- Providing intensive experience on the application or hardware they are to activate or use;
- Equipping them with smart phones & covers, branded bags and jackets as well as kiosk which enables them to provide services at informal sites in communities
- Licensing them to log activities on WorkPro or validation and payment of contracts – no recording, no rewarding;
- Issuing invoices based on validated services;
- Providing them with support by a mentor and supervisor via WorkPro
CANPRO FURTHER PROVIDES SUPPORT TO ORGANIZATIONS TO ENABLE THEM TO CONTRACT AND SUPPORT DIGITAL ENTERPRISES BY:
- Providing an online screening and selection tool;
- Providing generic opportunity contracts aligned with local legislation;
- Branding the programme;
- Contracting & paying Digital Enterprises;
- Identifying issues to be addressed;
- Reporting on progress of each member of the team, their
- Mentors/Supervisors as well as the project as a whole;
- Providing external Mentors to support the workplace development of the
- Digital Enterprises;
- Providing support via the help desk;
- Uploading company specific content
